Being a student in good standing at Marina High School, I agree to the following provisions:

1.       I will respect the speed limit of seven miles per hour at all times and drive in a safe and courteous manner.

2.       I will comply with all laws of the California Motor Vehicle Code and all rules governing driving and parking on campus at all times.

3.       I agree to maintain current insurance and registration on the vehicle.

4.       I understand that all vehicles are parked at my own risk.  Marina High School and/or the Huntington Beach Union High School District is/are not responsible for damage or loss to my vehicle as a result of parking on campus.

5.       I will park only in student designated parking stalls (white painted spaces) and within the provided parking space.

6.       I will follow and obey all instructions from School Administration, Campus Supervisors and Police.

7.       I will not park anywhere along the access road (fire lane) around the school or in a red zone.

8.       I will not park in staff parking spaces (yellow painted spaces) between the hours of 6:45 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

9.       I will not park in “Visitor” parking spaces (green painted spaces).

10.   All vehicles are subject to search by school officials or police.

11.   All vehicles parked on campus during school hours must display a parking permit.  Permit must be displayed in full view on the driver’s side FRONT window (lower left hand side as you sit behind the wheel).  Failure to display permit in this location may result in a citation (CVC 21113.A1).

12.   If a parking permit is revoked for a parking violation, driving violation or discipline violation, it will not be reissued for the remainder of the school year.  You will not receive a refund if this happens.

13.   If a student with a parking permit drives a different vehicle, they may request a temporary permit twice a semester from the Supervision Office.  Temporary permits are only issued to students who have a regular parking permit on file.

14.   Student parking permits are non-transferable and must be renewed each school year.

15.   All parking and traffic regulations are enforced by the Huntington Beach Union High School District Police and the Huntington Beach City Police.

16.   Parking stickers may not be altered in any way and the full permit number must be visible.

17.   A parking sticker does not guarantee a parking space.  Parking is on a first-come basis. If there is no parking available, you must park off campus and at your own risk.

I understand the above rules and agree that if I violate any of the above listed provisions, or any other school rule, I may be cited and/or my parking privileges may be revoked temporarily or permanently.
