Why did you become a teacher?
Teachers are not made, they are born that way! At least I think I was. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone learn to be what they were meant to be and discover their real potential.
Years teaching?
Officially, this will be my 9th year teaching, but I have "taught" in a variety of ways all my life including Speech clients in my undergraduate years at CSUS, Sunday school students, and home school with my daughter. I also worked for many years as an Instructional Assistant in Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Alternative Education, and Severely Handicapped Programs including Adult Education.
Personal Comments/Quotes
"Do what you can where you are with what you have". (Theodore Roosevelt)
Interests & Hobbies
I love to read, dance, attend concerts, sail, listen to music, cook, and go to the beach!
Most memorable moment
The birth of my daughter, her graduation with honors with her Master's Degree, and earning my teaching credential! (that's three actually)
